Charles Walker


Charles Anthony Walker was born in Dublin, GA and raised in rural South Georgia in the small town of Danville which is about 20 miles from Macon. He is the President and Founder of Intelligent Technologies, a custom audio/video integration company specializing in Home Theater, Distributed Audio/Video, Home Automation and Lighting Control, with a second division handling IT Support and Consultation for small business. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology, where he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Charles started his career with Microsoft, where he managed accounts including NASA, the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, the Pentagon and the Office of Naval Research. At Microsoft, Charles worked on product development teams for various software systems including MSDOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP and Windows Vista. He started Technosoft Enterprises, which would eventually grow into Intelligent Technologies, in 1996. At the time, the company solely focused on small, residential computer jobs. In 2005, Charles retired from Microsoft to focus on Intelligent Technologies full-time.

From 1999-2003, Charles was heavily involved in motorcycle racing, winning championships four out of the five years, and earning support from Ducati North America, Fast By Ferraci, Snap On Tools, Red Bull and other big names. Charles has always found time to help someone, whether it was loaning a bike during a race weekend, doing IT work for free or just being a friend. Charles joined the 100 Black Men of Charlotte in 2001 and hit the ground running. Being elected to its Board of Directors after the first year, he has served on the Board in some capacity every year since. He now serves as President of the local chapter.
