Joseph Butler



Joseph  Butler (Mr. Joe)- Born Toledo OH graduated from University of Toledo with a degree in Accounting.  After college Joseph  joined Americop, served two years and functioned as team leader for the Habitat for Humanity Easter build in Americus Ga. and received several awards. Joseph developed and directed four innovative youth programs supported by businesses, educational institutions, religious organizations and community members.


Leading and assisting with all aspect of fundraising, campaigning for $54,000,000 with several non-profits; Joseph was directly responsible for the largest employee Public Art campaign in the Country.  Joseph is a passionate motivational orator, speaking to large and small groups in a structured manner with diverse topics that inform, influence and entertain audiences. Joseph (Mr. Joe) Butler has demonstrated ability to develop diverse teams of volunteer committees of community leaders and to work closely with these committees to set and implement community strategies.


Joseph is Sr. Director of Community Engagement at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte; serves as Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Mentoring Alliance and Vice Chair of the East Chamber Board.  Joseph has also been a Big Brother for eight years and learned the value and fulfillment in serving others.


Joseph (Mr. Joe) Butler is the host of “Start Something” a community based radio show.  The show has central theme focus on growth, empowerment and promoting a positive approach to develop and support the community.
