Ambitious. Eloquent. Influential. While these words describe the character of a champion, they also define the essence of Joseph Canty. An engaging motivational speaker with the ability to empower and inspire audiences, Canty personifies excellence and distinction and uses his training and skills to implant these qualities in others.
His path toward greatness began in 2002, when he learned to educate others about the importance of developing good sportsmanship, teamwork, and communication as the Assistant to the Director of Operations at the University of Virginia with the Virginia Cavaliers Football Program. Soon, however, Canty began to realize he had a strong affinity for technology and graphic design and began taking courses at the University of Virginia. Eager to utilize his gift of mentoring and uplifting individuals, he used his educational training at UVA to pursue a career as an instructional technology assistant in education. Within five years, Canty was resilient enough to develop his business formerly known as Second Dimension Studio; a multimedia marketing company. Through this effort, he was able to structure a profitable business specializing in working with business owners, professional athletes, and secondary education institutions.
His passion for marketing, coupled with his customer-driven approach, opened up many opportunities in business development. Soon recognizing the potential of his business, Canty began to develop a broader skill set in finances and business management in order to better service his clients. Over the next two years, he organized a highly skilled team that developed and implemented business growth strategies to expand awareness while spotlighting areas of expertise and recognizing areas of profit for current and future clients. These responsibilities sharpened his capacity to invest in people, and the next path provided him the opportunity to move from greatness toward remarkable.
Recognizing his peers could benefit from his previous accomplishments in finance and business development, Canty established “The Legacy Tour.” This program allowed him to serve as a wealth management coach for professional athletes, coaches, and business professionals. He then engaged groups around the country, instructing them on how to successfully cultivate their legacy through finances and business development. Currently speaking on a variety of topics, Canty remains committed to the edification of his core principles instilled in him since adolescence: the value of discipline, sense of community, academic excellence, integrity, and athletics.
Canty continues to devote his many years of experience in non-profit organizations by volunteering his time mentoring inner city youth in education, leadership, and teamwork. He has dedicated himself to the sustainability of a foundation in honor of his family alongside his brother, Chris Canty Defensive Tackle for the New York Giants. In addition, he continuously researches avenues that will create partnerships with a variety of organizations to sponsor the youth with local Children’s Charities in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina.
Mr. Canty has a combined 9 years of high school coaching experience in both Virginia and North Carolina. In his spare time, he enjoys promoting the importance of education and finances, watching football or playing basketball, and most importantly, spending time with his family
